Hey. I havent posted on here for awhile due to being unemployed. I recently got a job being assistant store manager. Having read this site for so long I thought I would be prepared for peoples stupidity. Apparently not. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I never thought I would say this but after working at the store for the past couple of weeks I am ready to go back to dealing with the SC at the hotel.
What gets me is there are two small check out stands all day every day people come up and say that they are still shopping but can they leave their clothes, comforters or what have you all over the counter. Then when I say no but we have baskets and carts that they can use. They look at me like I am saying that I am a murderer or some thing. Also the people that truly bug me are the people who will see 5 of the same thing same color size but they will choose the one that has a scratch on it.
Did have a good laugh at a customer today. In my store we have christmas trees that play music and have flashing lights on it that have sensors in them to play. Which I hate the trees so I can basically tune them out. So I am not thinking about the trees as I try to force a cart on the challenged customer and explain I can not will not baby sit her mirror, comforter, candles for her while she shops. As I am talking to her she sets off the sensor on the trees and they start blaring christmas music and the lights start going off. The look on her face was priceless.
Maybe the trees arent so bad.
