some more stories I wanted to share.

    first one-
me: hello, this is mandy, how may I help you?
sc: hello, I just had to call and say something. I've wasted five hours the past two days on your website. it's just horrible. you're losing customers here. it's the only site that's this bad.
me: i'm very sorry sir, would you like to place your order through me?
sc: no, I wouldn't. all you guys do is just go 'oh, well, call in your order, have a nice day'. i want to know what you are going to do for all the people wasting hours on your site.
me: well, if you'd like i could register a formal complaint for you sir.
sc: (don't remember his exact words but something about that not doing any good and just being meaningless) I want to know what you are planning on doing for me.
me: I'm very sorry sir, but all I am capable of doing is taking your order or placing an official complaint. I have no control over our website sir.
sc: you know what, i'm just going to shop at a local store, because you guys just don't deserve it.

good for you. if you can buy what you want at a local store why aren't you doing that in the first place instead of ordering where you'd have to pay shipping costs. for the record, at some point he also mentioned being on hold for over 20 minutes, when my system showed he'd only been on the line 6 minutes. and also, i'd say our problem is actually that we have too many customers, sir.

on the subject of shipping costs

i've never gotten any calls like this myself, but i know lots of others have, asking if we have free shipping, why we don't have free shipping, <competitor> has free shipping, so you should. yea, well, why don't you just buy from <competitor> then. what? you say their prices are higher? gee, I wonder why.

    second one
this one was actually belongs to my coworker.

cw: *pronounces sc's name wrong during verification*
sc: did you go to school in the U.S.?
    cw: yes.
sc: how would you pronounce that if there was an R at the beginning instead of the L?
cw: *pronounces it the same way, only with an R*
sc: there's just something wrong with you, isn't there?

I get very defensive when ever somebody is mean to one of my friends, so i really wish i knew who this was.

    amusing
not sucky at all, she was very nice, this just amused me. had a lady from Texas call in and order 4 or 5 different axes and knifes, a sharperner, a gun cabinent, and a tree harness.
I make music videos in my spare time. http://www.youtube.com/user/raven13x. Check them out ^_^

<patpat> It's best not to ask about these things.

I get that one a lot. Best defense is to have a list of all your competitors shipping rates/prices at your fingertips and quote off to the customer how they're going to be paying more at your nearest competitor. Works for me.
