It's a simple concept, and you'd think by some people's reactions that I just made up that rule.
Tonight, this teenage girl comes in with a check, and doesn't have her ID with her. She said her wallet was stolen. While I feel bad for her, I can't just cash her check without a state-issued ID.
She asked if she can use her friend's ID.
I tell her no.
She asks to speak to a manager.
"She's just going to tell you the same thing."
"I want to talk to her anyway."
So it's a busy friday night, as usual, so I page a manager or CSM. They're obviously going to have to wait.
So her and her friends wait a good 10 minutes, all the while complaining. She apparently knew someone there, and talked to them about it. I just ignored it and helped people do returns and whatnot.
So a manager finally comes, and I hear her tell the same thing, and then I see her leaving with her group of friends.
We obviously can't make exceptions, maybe you should've gone to the bank earlier.
