  • Customer Wanted Exact Time of Money Gram Closing

Today, a customer called wanting to know when the money gram closed. Since I was planning to close the money gram till between 8 and 8:30, I told her that it would be closed around eight. She wouldn't accept that and demanded that I get someone who could tell the the exact time the money gram closed. I transferred the call to my service desk coworker. She offered to have the register kept open as in not pulled until she got here but we don't have an exact closing time for money gram. The customer decided that she wanted to speak to a manager when she got there.

    I hate moneygram.

I hate 90% of people that use it.

I hate the people that think I'm the one who has to fix errors in the money gram that I did not cause.
(Note for people that don't deal with them: Once it has been sent, the store can no longer fix anything on the money gram, they have to be contacted directly.)

Cue adults screaming at me because I will not call money gram, because it isn't my job, and it wasn't my fault that you misspelled someone else's name, even when I double checked with you on the spelling. It's out of my hands.)

It's basically a bigger pain than anything. Sorry you had to deal with that, purplecat.

If she (or someone like her) calls demanding an exact time. Tell them 8. That way you don't tell them 830 and they show up at 829 when you're just shutting down the money gram register. That's my recommendation. Sounds to me like that woman can't make basic decisions on her own. I know if someone told me they closed at 8-ish. I'd be there long enough before 8 to not be a nuisance.
