Customers who put words in your mouth

Ever have customers who always put words in your mouth? I could tell a person that their services will be restored once a payment is posted but then the customer will tell me, "Oh, I'm going to be without services for X amount of days, is is that what you're saying?

No asshole! Sometimes I just repeat back what I said cause these douchebags will not start a fight with me over something that is not my fault!

Anyone else who can't stand that?

Yeah, that's annoying. Like you're going to just suddenly agree that they've caught you in their mind-bogglingly obvious scheme to twist around your words so you don't know what you're saying.

I get ones who start saying "How much?" before I've even finished giving them the price.

Me: "So that's twenty dol..."
SC: "How much?"
Me: "Twenty dollars."

I had something like this happen. Guest comes down to get another key to his room. I ask for ID and it doesn't match the name on the reservation.

SC: That guy is visiting another room right now.
Me: I'm afraid that guy will need to be the one to come and get a key.
SC: So you're telling me I'm pretty much burned until then?
Me: bluntly I'm afraid you are.

SC then mutters to himself back to the elevator about some nonsense how since he came down from the elevator, that it's obvious he's staying here.

Maybe so, but that means that 62 guests could come to the lobby each asking for 61 other keys.
