Tonight there were two open lanes, including mine. At one lane (which was NOT open), the supervisor was emptying out the drawer. A guy came up to her lane, of course. When she said she wasn't open, he looked over at the two lanes with LIT lights and demanded "Who's open here??" I repeat, he was staring at the two LIT lanes with a confused look on his face, demanding to know which lanes were open.
Scenario two. Woman is using the card reader. Message pops up on my screen saying that she needs to re-enter her pin. What she sees on the card reader is a great big green box that says "re-enter PIN". She stares for a minute. Then she said, "What does it want me to do?" "It says you have to re-enter your PIN", I explained. She looked down at the card reader again, still confused. "But there's nowhere for me to enter it!" "You have to hit the box that says "re-enter PIN." Imagine that.
