That Creeps Me Out

Yesterday, a customer who was with a couple other people asked me to cash a coinstar for him. Since I was doing a pickup for one of the checkers, I told him that I would be right with him.

The customer and his friends stood there watching me which creeped me out so I stopped what I was doing and kept the pickup with me while I stepped over to the register so it would stay in my sight. I cashed the coinstar and sent the customers on their way. After that, I went to finish the pickup. I felt that these customers could've put my job in danger by putting me in that position.

I'm sorry Purplecat I'm a little confused here. Were you creeped out because the customer was looking at you in a suggestive/creepy way or because he was in your space while you had money out?

The customer and his friends were standing there while I was counting the money. I felt that they were watching me count it and that creeped me out.

Yeah, I hated it when customers would do that. We didn't have a special area to count out, we just had to do it at our register. Customers never seemed to get it that cashiers with money out are extra paranoid and that it looks bad to have a stranger standing there watching.

Security was supposed to escort me to the Electronics register when it was time to close them down but sometimes when they were watching people they told me to go without them. They said that they would be watching on the store cameras but I wasn't sure of that. I asked what would happen if I got robbed and they said they would get the guy before got out of the store. I asked what what about me and they never answered. One time a guy was waiting by the register and started following me back to front. I stopped and talked to an associate until the guy moved on. I don't know about anybody else but I was willing to hand off the money and scream like a little girl if he tried to take it.

I would totally give up the money if someone tried to take it from me. I would rather give up the money than risk getting hurt.
