  • you complained about that?

today I was talking to a people greeter in the break room, and someone called in and complained about her and the other greeter that was on that door. their crime? they didn't say "hello" when the customer came in

when the manager told them about it, just because when we get complaints the manager has to tell us, both greeters asked if she wanted to fire them for it

my store is a very, very shitty place to be a people greeter, the SM has a FUBARed system for promotions so the CSMs tend to ignore people.

    Good God.

If I EVER become so pathetic that I have to get my jollies by calling a store and complaining about something so petty, my kids have been instructed to:

    A. Shoot me

    B. Place me in a 'home' someplace

    or

    C. Both of the above.

That's like the Simpsons episode where people start going bat-shit crazy when the wal-mart greeter(grandpa) doesn't greet them.

And just think, it's pathetic people like that who make corporate suits think that having the employees greet everybody in the store is a good idea.

Like Jeff Dunham's little friend, Walter, says:

I can't imagine calling to complain about a greeter not greeting me, what do those people do when they really do have something to complain about?

Good idea . . . put him on one exit and Achmed the Dead Terrorist on the other end.

"Silence! I kill you!" . . . yeah, that'd go over about as well as Dick Cheney.

My guess is that they may very well have nervous breakdowns.

I once had a customer complain cuz I didn't smile at him and looked depressive. Strange that; it was the day after my granny's funeral. -.-

Although I'm on friendly terms with the Wal-Mart greeter next door to the wholesale club, I can't help but picture the following sometimes:
