  • The Tale of Peanut Buttercup

This is the tale of Peanut Buttercup. He's only a year older than I and we used to go to school together. From the moment he was in school, he caused all sorts of trouble. It took my district til our Junior year to kick him out after everything he has done (his most famous of all, sitting in the middle of the road during our lunch period, eating. This is what finally got him the boot.)

I was a part of his group of friends until Sophmore year, when some problems arose. I still talked with those people, just not as much. Peanut Buttercup and I got along very well.

Until I got my job at McD's.

He was always a pain in the butt, bugging the employees, saying mean things when we couldn't say anything back. Managers have kicked him out and outright banned his ass, but he was still coming in.

He got a job at a different McD's, but was soon out of there. He would come to our store and talk loudly about how the food isn't fresh and how we do horrible things to the food. He stood at the counter, acting like he was getting food, would stare at the menu and wouldn't let anyone go in front of him, then he would leave without getting anything.

He kept talking trash to employees and managers. The banning kept going, but it was never enforced.

Peanut Buttercup kept calling corporate, complaining about random things that never happened. Pretty soon, we got to know the number and corporate just ignored it, but he kept calling and of course, they had to tell us, but they never tried to "ease his suffering".

He tried coming back in, claiming he has a note from our DM, stating that he could come in.

He harassed one of the manager's daughters (both were working when he did it)

Finally, they banned him for good and all the managers know it.

funnily enough, we were all just reprimanded for having 9 complaints in the month of Janurary from the 1-800 line...the very same month this guy was banned. Hmmm...

Didn't they know that it was from "Peanut Buttercup" who made those 9 complaints? Oughta fight that reprimand.

Someone needs a new hobby.... preferably one involving flammable liquids and matches. Lots of matches.

      Very healthy stuff.

See, I had in mind something involving long walks and short piers, but that sounds much more fun!

If corporate already knew his number, how didn't they match it up with those 9 from January? Definitely see if there's room for manoeuvre there, because it could count against you if there's any more complaints.

          If it makes sense...

I think he needs a new home. One with nice, soft, comfy padded walls and a nifty new jacket with the extra-extra long sleeves. He can spend all day hugging himself and bouncing off the walls.

I was just going to say, it sounds as though this guy may have some mental health problems... typical age of onset for schizophrenia is late adolescence/early adulthood.

I'd say he's more of an attention whore than serious mental issues. My educated guess would be mommy and daddy don't pay any attention to him. Not even enough to discipline him, I'd bet.

As for all of the complaints, he could be lashing out against being fired and/or banned. Any idea on how many complaints the store he worked at received?
