  • The Good, the Bad and the downright odd

It isn't often I come home and have multiple stories to post.

    The Good

I found £1.15 when cleaning screens. Not much, but better than nothing. I also found an Ipod, but a customer quickly returned to claim that.

    The Bad

A customer came out and complained 4 lads were talking and using their phones in He's Just Not That into You. So they were warned and I was assigned to sit in the screen and keep an eye on them, with instructions to remove them if the caused more trouble.

A little while later, I see one of them sneakily have his phone on, so I go and confront them, telling they need to leave. 'I'm just texting my mum.' The lady sitting behind them, pipes up, "They've been quiet since they were warned. You're just being harsh."

"Ok." I say, and leave them to it.

    The Odd

As the customers came out of a film, a young coworker G is holding the doors. I see a guy stop and talk to her and he ruffles her hair. I naturally assume he must be a relative. But as he passes me he stops, greets me and ruffles my hair. I and he walks away. Leaving me:
G didn't know him at all.

Did you do something for the original customer? Or was it the same lady?

No it was a guy who complained initially. We didn't hear from him again.

Trying to ruffle my hair is a good way to lose an arm. Even people I know risk getting bitten if they try, but a complete stranger? Who knows where that hand has been or the last time it was even washed???

Of course, they'd have to get past the hat first...

The last time someone ruffled my hair, I was still using "greasy kid stuff" on it.
