  • what is this?

While filling the milk tonight a customer shouts at me through the open door "what is this?" holding up a carton of the flavored milk we were forced to carry for VDay .

me: "it's what it says on the carton"

    SC: "really, what is it?"

Me: Its Chololate Cherry flavored milk

SC: oh <puts it back on the shelf> Not Everyone can read you know.

I swear the first thought that went through my mind was " And they let you out of the house? " I mean how do you survive day to day with out a BASIC ability to read the english language?

    /sigh
Lister: This is Crazy. Why are we talking about going to bed with Wilma Flintstone?
Cat: You're right. We're Nuts! This is an insane conversation....
Lister: She'll never leave Fred and we know it.

Not only do they exist but due to rule 34 there's porn about them. Ironically it's in the form of short stories.

What popped in my head when I read this was "Who's fault is this, now? I can only assume most people can, with this being the 21st century and all..."

My mom can't read, she was classified as "mentally handicapped" when she was little (this was in the 40's) so she was never educated. She can't sit down and read a book or paper but she does recognize words that are familiar such as the names of her favorite t.v. programs. Unfortunately there were plenty of children who where not taugt to read back in the day.

That is perfectly understandable. Question is, though, would your mom ever try to pull the "Not Everyone can read you know? card out on anyone like that?

Rule 34? What is this you speak of?

I think 34a says there is a website dedicated to it as well.

Could we possibly get a link to these mythical google rules? I'd love to use them when I need to..purely for posting standards only, of course.
                      Random conversation:
Me: Okay..so I think I get why Zoro wears a bandana
                      DDD: Cuz it's cool

So, by using the Doctor's reasoning, bow ties, fezzes and bandanas are cool.

They're not google rules. They're the "Rules of the Internet."
