So I went into work the other day and my manger pulls me aside to tell me this.

So he is walking down the liquor isle and sees a woman stuff a bottle under her shirt and thinks that I know her from some where. And then he realizes that she was an employee that had worked at the store for 4 weeks before quitting suddenly the week before. So he calls her name and she takes off and makes it out the door and into a waiting car that is running. How ever they chose to park in the spaces that are directly in front of the store and because it is at 5:00 pm on a week day the parking lot is grid locked and they can't pull out. So he knocks on her window and says to her if she gives the bottle back he won't press charges and reminds her that we still have all her info. So she gives it back and gets told that she is not allowed to come back. I was laughing pretty hard by the time he finished this. And the moral of the story is if you are going to shoplift don't do it some where that everyone knows who you are.

Next on America's Most Clueless. Did she actually expect to get away with it?

Definately another who should be trying to make an honest living as she has no future as a thief.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

I would go back through the closing numbers for shifts she worked to see if there's any discrepancy or shrinkage.

There was this one girl who got fired recently from my store, who is up there on the list of dumb criminals.

Every single time her till was counted, she came up quite short.

After a few times she was told by a supervisor that she was on permanent audit because of this.

A few days later she was escorted out in handcuffs.

Seriously, the supervisor told her they knew she was stealing, and that they'd be watching her, and still she was taking money from the till.

yeah but ... they like you better when you pay.

and ... for more irony... if she hadn't quit maybe she could have afforded to buy the booze? or at least find a better way to sneak it out

I saw a video on TV from a CCTV camera where a employee decided to steal from his employer after hours. Only problem he used his key and alarm code in the robbery.
