  • Please STOP moving my U-boat!

Today I was working off a Uboat in health & beauty when I had NO less than 4 SC's take my U-boat and push it away from me. Mind you, the u-boat was not in the way, it was pushed over to the side so customers could get by. Needless to say it really fucking annoyed me.
I had to tell one SC to please not move my uboat, I need it near me. Naturally I got the cat butt face and a whine "that I just wanted to see what was on it"
Stupid biatch, wait til I'm finished pricing the shit and putting it on the shelf!

Why can't customers just leave my shiz alone??

Uhm... why did you have a German Submarine in the middle of a store?

In all seriousness; that's about the only thing i HATED about working in Hardware. Everyone 'Needed' to check out all the new crap in the totes on the counter behind the cash. I finally just gave up and started smacking wandering hands with a broomstick after the first warning, especially if it was obvious that I was working stock and a CW was on cash.

In some stores, "u-boat" is a term for a certain kind of cart used to hold merchandise.

And Thatgirl71, I've had the same problem with customers. It pisses me off so much.

Nothing bothers me more (ok, that's not true, but I'm fond of hyperbole) than a customer who, when my truck is blocking the thing he needs to get to, neither asks me to move it, please, nor pushes it further along the aisle, but instead pulls it away from the shelves so that it is now completely blocking the aisle insted of neatly lined up along the side,

Ah, ok. I was getting a much different and more unwieldy mental image than that. ><

Maybe it was on sale? Does your store also carry P-51 Mustangs?

If they did the U-boat would still be able to survive. P-51's didn't have the hardpoints for torpedoes, or depth charges.

Now, a Consolidated Catalina, that could cause some damage. :P

I figured that, but I prefer the mental image of a German submarine.

That reminds me of when I put dvds on the shelf at the library. I have a cart full and they are in order. And I always get "do you mind if I look?" What can I say? Sometimes I do act like a shit and sigh and walk away. When people look at the cart, their whole body is blocking the way (of the cart and the aisle), and they have to strain their eyes to look. Then they remove one and still block the way as they read the back of the carton, then they put it back in the wrong place. Browsers take up so much of my time.

Not like they will find "The Dark Knight" or "House Bunny" since those have holds out the wazoo and they never are on the shelf.

Sometimes we have to put go backs in one of our shopping carts until somebody can put them back and so many times a customer will take everything out of the shopping cart and put it on the floor. One time I had garbage in a shopping cart that I was getting ready to take to the stockroom and a lady took it out and put it in the cart with the go backs.

I was thinking that too. Well, that and certain locomotives made by General Electric... Of course the latter would be appropriate at a hobby shop

I know what you mean - our customers aren't as bad about that as they used to be, but I still have some days when they seem to swarm around a cart with AV materials, and it takes much longer than it should to shelve the cart because you can't really tell people to stop browsing and move so you can get to the cart.
