This guy really pissed me off yesterday.
He came up, had a few items. Seemed like an ok guy. When I went to ring up these two different pairs of a shirt in a bag, he held onto one of them while I was trying to scan it. I tried to pull it away, but he was holding onto it really tight. He scanned it(I hate when people do that ANYWAY. i get PAID to do that. if you scan your own items you can just come behind the counter and do my job and i can go home. have fun.), but he scanned it twice, and DIDN'T scan the other one. All this time I'm trying to get it out of his hands. Then he takes both of them(the one he scanned twice and the one he didn't) and bagged them.
As far as I could tell, one of them was clearance for like .70 cents(I didn't see any tag on it), and the other one he didn't scan had a $7.00 clearance sticker on it. That doesn't mean it was $7.00, it could've been and probably was less.
I should've locked my register so he couldn't scan his stupid shirts. I should've asked him what he thought he was doing, and take back both of the shirts and ring them up how they're supposed to be rung up, or ask if he had a question about them.
Nope. I was in too much shock of what he was doing to really think about what to do. So I just kind of got cold and icy. Held my hand out the whole time he was getting money, gave him his change and didn't apologize when some of his change fell, and didn't tell him to have a good day(which I say to pretty much EVERYONE).
It really irritated me. At least next time I should be more willing to do something about it.
