  • Seemed like a NEVERENDING order

Ok so this customer comes in. It was like 6:15am and I was fixing the donuts, but this lady made me waste like 10 mins of my time. I mean she didn't have any attitude or complaints, but the way she ordered things was VERY annoying. First she orders ONE bacon egg and cheese sandwich and a coffee. Then I come back and then she orders another bacon egg and cheese and she also wants a turkey cheddar bacon flatbread. I get done with that and I ask if she wants anything else. She then orders 4 orders of hash browns. I hate when customers order one by one sandwich orders. Another bad thing was that my other co-worker was not here yet so I had to deal with her myself. She also took some bagels, donuts and a scoop of ice cream. Ugh she was just annoying.

We had customers like that at the gas station. I will describe how it would always go.

It would be in the middle of the afternoon, usually when most 1st shift people are getting done with work, and they absolutely are gonna NEED that $5 in gas and those cigarettes NOWWW!!!

Idiot will pump gas. Then walk in. Come up to my register...I will attempt to ring up the gas purchase, they will bark "Packomarboredsinabox!" then walk off. Where did they go? They'd be back moments later with a case of beer. Then they'd walk away again. Then they'd be back with a bag of chips and a 12 pack of soda......and repeat this a few more times.

It was always frustrating, as I had NO suspend button on my register and this always happened when it was busy as hell. If only they'd just said "I'm going to get a few more things, can I leave this here?"

Ugh, I go through the same thing a lot at Dunkin, but never that early in the morning! It's usually college kids since there's a college a few miles away. Why IS it that they never notice that when something is slightly on the warm side, we walk towards the OVENS? That should be some sort of mental trigger that "Oh, that's where the warm edible things come from!"

I have no idea. It's really annoying. I hope I don't become that customer that does that.

I get them in the Paint dept.
I mix their paint ask them if they need anything else so I can shake all their paint at once.
They say no, but then as the shaker starts they "OK now I need ......"

Just once I would like to tell them that they need to go outside and come back in for me to start waiting on them again.

oy! I totally understand your frustration! I had a lady come in today and do that!

She first called in a phone order but can't figure out what she wants to so she orders one smoothie, hangs up, and then calls back with another one. (she ends up ordering 3 smoothies from the phone) so after the final call we ring it up into the system and get them ready. She comes in 30 minutes later decides she wants an OJ...then a small smoothie...where her carrot juice? ahh! then she decides she has to have separate checks!! AAAHHH!!!! *cough* sorry...it was a long morning...
