Ah, yes. Now, all we have to do is figure out a way to put industrial-strength antibacterial shampoo/soap into the hose, then you won't have to touch the person at all!
If you do it right do you really need soap when using a fire hose? At close enough range there would definately be some exfoliation going on there.

With some of the stinkers you get, every little helps. O_o"
I had one guy who literally stank of shit - I held my breath through the entire transaction. I think the only thing worse than that was the ungodly stench from the bag of frozen squid that somebody dropped behind one of the freezers.

Ugh, I don't care how nice you are. Take a bath!!!
Actually, it sounds like at this point, the only way you would get him clean is to run him through a car wash a few times.

For a year and a half in 1998 and 1999, I traveled the U.S. in the first Jestermobile, working for a well-known chain restaurant that allowed me to be that mobile if I so chose.

Now I was visiting many friends and family in my journeys, so in those situations, I bathed at their facilities. When I was not in a locale where I knew anyone, I often found bunking with coworkers who would be so nice as to open up their place to me. (I have had the opportunity to return the favor to others several times since.)

But there WERE many times when I would literally find myself sleeping in the Jestermobile. Laundry was not a problem…that is what laundromats are for. (And yes, I saw many good and bad ones in my journeys.) But bathing was a different issue. Quite often I would merely stroll into the nearest nice hotel and make use of their pool facilities. No, I did not bring soap and shampoo into a pool, as that is really not acceptable. I would merely take a swim to clean myself off, as chlorine is a cleansing agent. Was the system perfect? No. Did I stink? Again, no. I was actually rather clean, thank you very much. Would this system work for everyone? Not really. But luckily in the colder months I would be in the warmer states (again, by design), and so this would not usually be all that bad. Admittedly, there WERE some chilly dips I took, especially one memorable one in December in New Orleans. Since it was too cold for anyone else to be by or near the pool, and it was somewhat early in the morning, I simply took my swim au naturel. (No wet shorts to deal with, you see.) It was, if nothing else, entertaining, refreshing, and invigorating.

Yeah, but plain water, even with a lot of force, doesn't get rid of all of the stink, especially if it's been festering for a long time. If nothing else, the soap would drive the point home. Especially if it makes mountains of fragrant foam...
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

If you get a Y.M.C.A. membership you can use their showers, most towns have at least one. Some locations will even let anybody off the street use the showers for a nominal fee. A service mostly used by the more hygiene-conscious of the local tramps, but almost anyone can get caught in a strange town without a place to bathe.
