  • Gimme Service!!!

So I'm doing the paperwork tuesday morning. Our 'office' is a desk that's two feet from the registar. I'm finishing a bit of the paperwork, and see a customer walking up to counter, and I turn to wait on him. I'm less then a foot from him when he SHOUTS in a not to nice way, "CAN I HAVE SOME SERVICE ALREADY!!" yep. He stated it, not asked. I stood there, blinking at him. He then stormed out shouting I'm going to lose my job for being lazy. I'm still in shock about it. WTF was that about....

Honestly now... what, did you turn off your Customer Proxmity Detector and your psychic powers that day? What's the matter with you? Service people are, after all, omniscient, ompnipotent and all-freaking-knowing. <- Incidentally, that's all sarcasm. Although if you are all-freaking-knowing, that's cool too.

Sounds like yet another loser with TPS trying to make himself feel like a bigshot by bullying the employees.

I remember one guy like that "whose time was valuable"

One of my supervisors and another coworker was in customer service. I was doing my usual cashier/everything else the cashiers have to get done routine, and I was on cash for the moment. I hear some guy yell out something from customer service, and when I go there to pick up a cart of returns, he is talking to a manager. After doing a whole myraid of assorted stuff (including three whole carts... yes, I'm that good) for an hour, he's still there. When he finally leaves, I ask the coworker what that guy's problem was. It turns out that supervisor was finishing the paperwork for a return, and the customer said something like "You're supposed to be serving customers! My time is valuable!" then demanded to talk to a manager.

Way to prove that your time is valuable, by complaining for over an hour about a few seconds of necessary work.

The kicker? When he got home, he called the manager to complain

Anyways... sorry for the threadjack. That guy is the same kind of jerk.

Have you ever noticed that the people who rant about their "valuable" time, seem to have all the time in the world to stand there and bitch?

              Yep!

When I was cashiering I had a woman come through my lane with several items she claimed were on sale because there were signs stating as such. But every single item she had was either the wrong size, the wrong quantity or the wrong brand. EVERYTHING! It took about 15 minutes to prove to her that each item she'd pick up was not the sale items. I politely told her that if she compared the UPC written on the signs with the UPC on the items, she could be sure she was getting the right item.

Her response was, "I don't have time to read the signs."

Well, she sure in hell had all the time in the world to argue with me that what she'd picked out was the right article, all the while holding up my line and slowing down my IPH.

              I really hate SC's.

I'd never heard that before. Maybe I can try that at work...
