Two Different Shoplifters

1st shoplifter: This shoplifter got her items rung up and left without paying. I had to void the whole order so the checker could continue ringing the other customers in line. I wrote a note on the voided receipt saying that the customer left without paying. The checker or assistant store director (can't remember which one) mentioned that it wasn't the first time she did it.

2nd shoplifter: This shoplifter was caught pocketing some items in the medication aisle. He was brought up to the service desk by the night crew manager and the assistant store director. They stood there to make sure he paid for his items. After that, they walked him out.

I don't really get how the first incident happened. How did you she just leave without paying after it was rung up?

The checker rang up the 1st shoplifters' items. The shoplifter left with the items without bothering to pay for them.

Does your store have a policy of "please leave the items there until the transaction has been completed?" Otherwise talk about brazen!

Second shoplifter: nice work . It's usually how we do it except they get a lifelong ban

we've had the first one happen, where people will act like thay are punching in their debit info, pick up ther bags and leave saying i dont need the receipt. then the register will show card declined ust as they make it out the door and boogie off. luckily we are small town, we usually catch them if they come back.
