  • Lipstick + You're Not A Special Snowflake.

Mmm, this has a coworker being slightly owned in it, too.

    Lipstick

Yesterday was so non busy at Aid of Rite that I took an hour and a half to pick through all the lipstick, eyeshadow and foundation and came up with a basketful of ones that people used/chomped on/had bloom on them/melted from age/etc. It's just amazing. I still say we should have a small tester area with a shade of each brand's product and if we catch people still grabbing them off the shelf, then we make them pay for it.

Because of the Children's Miracle Network donation thing we have going on, if employees donate $5, then can wear jeans on Tuesday and Friday, which are truck days. Coworker comes in yesterday wearing jeans and gets snappy at Manager when she says coworker has to pay.

"Well I don't have change on me!"

"Still, you have to. Everyone has to if they want to wear jeans."

    "I don't care!"

"*facepalm* 'Coworker', you're not special. If other manager sees you, she WILL make you pay. They count the donations at the end of the night and you WILL be caught."

Sure enough, when Manager came in the next morning, she said, "Hm, I see you're wearing jeans. Where's your donation?"

    "Uh..."

    "Pay up."

No word on whether she did or not. But knowing Manager, she had to.

    You're Not A Special Snowflake, pt. 2

Remember the lady from my "Please pick up after your child" thread a while back? She brought her son back in today, while he was riding his tricycle. She made him leave it outside but when it was time to pay, she told him to bring it in. He ran out while the doors were open, grabbed the tricycle, rode back in, and zipped around the store, crashing into all sorts of things and making a mess. Manager in the story above was not too pleased and the mother had to stop several times trying to pay to control her child.
