So at the restaurant job we have a new building that was put up in November. So we have a few non-regulars who are seeing it for the 1st time, and ask the inevitable, "So, how do you like the new building?" If I answered honestly, I'd say, "It doesn't make a difference to me. I don't live here. I work here and my job is the same, old building or new. I've been in this building for 6 months & I'm over it." I'm not about faking anything, including enthusiasm, so I'm having to come up with increasingly creative ways of answering the question without being labelled as having a bad attitude. Add it to all my other tasks.

That answer's true & a good one, but I can see how an SC would turn that into I have an attitude because I'm not enthusiastic enough. Trust me; it's happened at the other job."Is it hot in here to you? It's very warm, isn't it?"--Nero, probably

yea the hospital i work in is new (well a little over a year old as of this post).
and at least 2 or 3 times a week i get patients asking 'how do you like the new hospital?'
and if i answered honestly theres alot i'd change about it... but thats more policy/work related than structure/building related.
i just answer a standard 'it's alot nicer/bigger than the old one' (which is true the old one in this city LITERALLY was crumbling down around everyone. how it didn't violate... several building codes i'll never know. or maybe it did and people let it slide cuz well.. you need a hospital.)Common sense... So rare it's a goddamn superpower.

Deflect question with a question that doesn't answer the original, followed up by bland assurance that you know what you're doing, and second question of ambiguity.
It's far easier to let someone interpret their own question, and if someone inteprets the first question as anything but a tautology, you're pretty much set with a SC for the night anyway.
