I had this guy come up to me all upset about not getting served. Note that I work in the CAGE where I have no say about who gets served alcohol or anything.
SDC (sucky drunk customer)
SDC: I've been here ALL day and had been getting drinks and I asked the cocktail waitress for another and she told me no! I spend so much money here. This is my first time here and I won't be coming back!
Cue my supervisor who innocently walked onto the scene. I grab her and make her listen to his story. I had to step back for the alcohol smell was so strong.
SDC: Yeah, I've been here for about four hours and I aint got no drinks! Why won't they serve me??
SV: Unfortunately its completely up to the cocktail waitresses to say no to who they serve... We have no say so...
SDC: *starts bitching about how much money he has spent here over the years and how the waitress just stopped serving him*
And did he not notice his story changed like five or six times?
SV: Would you like me to call her supervisor?
SDC: Yes!
He keeps bitching as he waits for the manager to show up.
BSV: Beverage Supervisor
The BSV shows up and starts talking to him. During this time my SV and I had stepped behind (we have swinging type doors so the customers can't see too much inside the cage area) and kind of watched from there.
At some point I mentioned to SV she might want to call security because the guy was getting in poor BSV's face and I seriously was worried about her safety. She didn't have big, thick metal bars between her and him.
My favorite fiesty security woman showed up with two others.
SDC: You should give me back my money!!
BSV: What money sir? Did she not serve you? There is no way for us to know how much to pay...
Last I checked drinks were free. And they have every right to cut off drunks. I am proud of the cocktail waitress to know when to cut someone off. Good for her!
SDC: Yeah, I have been here for the last two days (!! story changes again!) and I am enjoying myself and that woman refused to serve me all day!!!
Then a few mins later he says he's been here four hours, eight and she calls him on it and he can't seem to remember which is true lol
Finally he notices the security officers that have gathered around him. I seriously needed some popcorn.
SG security guard
SG: Sir, from this point on you are no longer allowed to gamble or drink. I am personally cutting you off.
SDG: Oh, please. Are you telling me that I can't do anything now??? I want more to drink!! I have spend a shit load of money here and I expect to be treated better!
SG: Sir, you have reached your limit on drinks. You are drunk and need to sleep it off. We will be more than happy to take you to your room.
The guy bitched and moaned for a bit and finally they dragged him off. Yikes. I'm glad security got there so fast, usually they take two years to get to the cage which is two feet away.
