Funny, it took until last night for someone to pull the bad economy card on me, I was shocked it was that long.....

Honestly, I am tired of it as well, but I keep listening hoping the words after are "is going up." My husband's company was sold and they laid of more than 50% of the workforce, and he hasn't worked since his shoulder surgery last year (guess which 50% he was in)

              Do we pay our bills...yes
Do we run around crying to people who can't do a damn thing about it...no.
Am I worn out and biachy from working two jobs..yes

There is no crying in baseball people

That is my standard reply to all comers.

Amen!!!!!!!!! I will buy the gum if its 1.29 but no I won't buy it for 1.39 Oh the economy!!!!!Its a dime people
I'm sick of these people saying they can't find jobs.I found a new job within a week of looking for one.For godsakes go to Mcdonalds,I'm sick of the looks on people's faces when I say that, like they are too good. I went from clerk in a store to being a housekeeper in the hospital because it pays 200 dollars more a payday. I'll be the first one to tell ya I REALLY don't want to do housekeeping, but hey its a job with benefits and life insurance.

funny you should say that... I'm hoping to do the exact same thing. Housekeeping isn't the best job in the world, but it means an extra $100 a week, plus health, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus sick pay and vacation pay. For all that I can clean rooms, thank you very much.

A few people I know don't have a job now and they just love to whine about it. Of course, the only places they apply at are the "cool" "indie" boutiques and shops. They wouldn't "stoop" to applying for a job at McDonalds or even a non Whole-Foods supermarket. And that, my friends, is why they live with their parents and complain endlessly about THE ECONOMY.

                      I agree, it's overused.

But then when I saw the title, the word "customer" came to mind.

I agree, but I thought 'ridiculous'.

Customers are always going on about how 'ridiculous' it is when we can't/won't break a policy for them.

                              Truer words were never spoken.

For anyone who ventures into my store on any given afternoon, ESPECIALLY the weekends, it is easy to recognize that the word "economy" is just a safety blanket buzzword that Corporate chooses to hide behind when they continue to shorthand us and freeze the wages. It's bustling like an ant farm in there! The economy isn't doing diddly squat to take away from sales, at least at my store.
