recap: work in a snooty posh store and we had a big sale on our fitted jackets; 75% off
there are plenty of lovely posh people but this SC wasnt one of them; the type that stands in the middle of the store and bitches about everything (does anyone else get offended when SCs do this, even if you secretly agree with what theyre saying? :s). anyway, she picks up a cream jacket thats 75% off;
SC: This is £81.75?
Me: *pissed already because shes too posh to look at the ticket*; yup, its 75% off so it was £325.50 and now its £81.75.
SC: But its not worth £81.75.
Me:
*well.. . . dont buy it then?*
She flings it down on my front desk in that ignorant way and gets out her purse.
SC: I'll give you £60 for it.
Me: *pretending to play the posh sales lady and look shocked at the mere thought of a random discount*. The price is not negotiable. Sorry.
SC: But its been on sale ages, i wont pay £81.75!
Me: well. . . . it IS 75% off already, that's a pretty generous sale price, i doubt very much it will come down again.
SC: I will give you £60 and thats all im willing to pay! Call the manager and ask if she will give me a discount.
Me: *going in for the kill* the manager will not give a discount on a jacket that is as cheap as 75% off. The prices are set. Im afraid its £81.75 and no less.
SC: FINE! It wasnt that nice anyway.
She leaves the designer jacket all crumpled on my front desk and marches off. You'd think someone that posh would afford some dignity and manners.
