        Ooooh, a -a-thon.

That woman has a great many issues, not least of which include her lack of logic.

Although...maybe she didn't have the money for it right away?

That she asked the question as to what its price would be tomorrow tells you she already KNEW about the sale ending today. (I know you caught that, but I too often state the obvious anyway.)

The woman probably thought she could be clever by throwing a fit like that to get the manager to agree to hold it for her at that price just to get her to shut up and leave. Any bets that she had no intention of returning until her pay day and then demanding the DVD be sold to her at the sale price because the manager promised it to her?

I can't wait to hear what happens when she comes back in!

We ALL know what will happen! She will come in, find some poor unsuspecting staff member (if she can, it'll be a newbie) and tell them she was promised the sale price and she 'won't leave without it!'
The chances are she will actually speak to the same people who will politely tell her she was told nothing of the sort, and to buy it full price, or leave

When I was much younger and in retail, it was known as pre-pay-day raincheck phenomenon. People essentially wanted sales extended till they had money in hand because they didn't have it now.

One place I worked tried out rainchecks for sales where you could get a guarantee of being charged the sale price on the day you redeemed it but you were charged a non-refundable upfront fee equivalent to the difference between the regular price and the sale price.

No one ever caught on and the head cashier would just roll her eyes and shake her head every time as people paid $10 to not save $10 as they thought they would three days from now.

Ah, the short sightedness of the harpies of avarice and greed...

If it was so all-fired important, why the hell didn't she just buy it today?

The answer's simple: If it walks like a jerkoff, shops like a jerkoff and acts like a jerkoff, well then it sure as hell aint The Pope!

I'd say it wasn't a good movie or book... but that's neither here nor there.
