    Worst b*tch of the day.

    Condescending old hag wanted municipal services of some sort.

    Me: The number for (service she wanted, trash pickup or something***), along with other municipal services, is the 311.
    SC: Are they open now?
    Me: I'm sorry, I don't know.
    SC: And will it cost anything to call them?
    Me: I'm not sure.
    SC: WELL THEN YOU NEED TO FIND OUT!
    Me: Ma'am, I don't have to. All we have in our files, and all I have to give you, is the same exact information that appears in the phone book. For most businesses and services, this does not include opening hours, or charges applicable.
    SC: *keeps on doing what she does best. B!tching*
    Me: Have a nice evening. *release*

    *** I typed 'thrash' before correcting myself. Too much metal lately, if that's possible.

        Around here, any phone number that is not a "normal" 10-digit number must disclose applicable charges everywhere it is published. Also true for any 10-digit numbers starting in 08. 0800 are free of charge, 089X cost basically the same as an international call (and are generally used either by... adult services or companies that are basically scammers).

            What's better, calling directory assistance to ask questions which you should be asking AFTER you call the number they give you, or calling an entirely different store and asking information about another store? Really it's the same thing I guess

              Thrash pickup should be a municipal service. I would work for that department. Dress code REQUIRES Mohawk or long, dark hair, chains, and ripped black clothing.

                      Thrash pickup?

                      Picking up thrashers' bodies and carrying them to a combined morgue/drunk tank so the families know where to look after thrash metal shows.
