Had a lady buying a kids' bookcase that came up $79.99. She said it should be clearance because, as she repeated ad nauseum, "the whole wall was clearance." She kept repeating that. Her other argument was that it didn't have a clearance sticker because it had been pulled from backstock. Ok, we don't normally backstock clearance, and if it was in there at the time of tagging, the scanner would have sent our price girls to that backroom location to tag the item. Basically, none of her arguments held water & the bottom line is that if it's clearance, the computer knows. When my sup went to check it out anyway, the lady tried to put a guilt-trip on me because it was for her granddaughter. My reaction was basically ok, whatever you want to do. She decided to "be reasonable" (her words) and not take it.
