    Change for a 50

    I just started going into a project I don't usually go into ( has a very bad rep for ice cream vendors being robbed and beaten) .
    Person comes out of their house and asked if I had change for a 50.

    Heres how it went

    SC: Yo bud, do you have change for a fifty?
    ME: Yes I do sir
    SC: Can I get the change and then go back into the house and get the 50?
    ME: No I need the bill
    SC: Why? I give you the phone to hold on to till I get back.
    ME: just a second, (pulls out my drivers license) sir I just checked my DL I wasn't born last night.

    SC: Ok I'll get it, back in a minute (doesn't come back)

    ME: muttering to myself what an idiot , why do these people think they can get away with this?

    And yes I can get away with saying anything to my customers that I want.

      Good line about the drivers license. I can never think comebacks quickly.

          Because almost every would-be scammer fancies himself smart enough to come up with a scheme no one else could possibly figure out.

          If you work in the court system long enough, you get to see all sorts of these "clever" types. Most are not even as bright as this dim wit.

          Sadly, these also are the types that procreate.

            Because they think the person they're talking to will be as dumb as they are. And you know what, if they try it enough, they'll run into that person stupid enough to take that bet.

                  This project has a special way of testing you to see if you belong such as the teenagers come up and scream at you "give me a free one or else". And start counting down from 5. When they reach zero they pull up thier hand under thier shirt in the form of a gun and yell "BANG" and run away.

                  Another way is asking for something and changing thier mind for a different item at a different price while buying 7-8 ice creams, while other kids are asking you why are you sold out of thier favorite ice cream.

                  Stoned people who are so high they ask you how much is that spiderman ice cream at least 10 times in 4 minutes while counting out 50 cents in nickles. (the cost is $2.00)

                  and putting up with this while standing outside in 30 degree celcius heat.
