I work in a very busy pediatric practice (9 providers). I fielded a complaint recently from a parent that thinks she "shouldn't be subjected to all these children in the waiting room".

It could have been worse. The woman could have been complaining about the fact that the waiting room was full of children of varying stages oh health ranging from well (getting check-ups/innoculations) to the ill and possibly contagious.
That might have caused her even more distress than having to be subjected to children.I never lost my faith in humanity. Can't lose what you never had right?Comment

She had an 11 year old...so surely she has some inkling of how kids are. We were not even particularly busy that day.
After being ranted at for a good 10 minutes, I informed her that perhaps she would be happier with a different group. She hung up.Comment
