Dear customers who were born and raised in this state,
Yes, the Government decided to phase out plastic bags and to now ban them. The cut-off date for the ban was 4th of May. It is now October. Therefore, you have had five months to get used to it and to make your bitchy and snarkycomments in the leadup.
Therefore...
1) Saying that a man came up with the idea is just plain dumb. Men do the grocery shopping as well and funnily enough, I've had yet to hear of a man bitching about the problem.
2) Attempting to use the thing-as produce bags that are provided for your groceries is just plain pettiness. If you are that cheap, either bring in your own bags or overestimate people! Seriously, you may only need to buy 1 or 2 extra 15c bags, that's it!
3) Yes the bags are recyclable. They are also-shock horror-reusable. And you can actually get quite a few uses out of them before they break. This MAY be why they actually cost something, instead of relying on biodegradable bags which tend to break down fairly easily.
4) I am not a sponge. I cannot do anything except give you our 15c bags, our $1 bags or help you shift them into the trolley. If you want to yell at someone, go to Parliament House and scream at the MP's there. Trust me, I'm sure you won't get far since the attack on our Premier.*
