So, either sadly or fortunately I wasn't in the store at the time. However, we had a book returned yesterday because.... "the first third was ok, but the second third was FULL OF HOMOSEXUALITY!!!!!!!!!!" My coworker said the customer would not stop going on and on about how offensive it was and how we should have a separate section for books like this, and blah de blah. I really wish I would have been there, however, I likely wouldn't have a job today if I had been.

I'm curious. What was the book?
Just the description on the back, it's usually pretty easy to tell if there will be homosexuality in a book. I guess the publishers want to warn people in case they might be offended (not on Mary Renault books, but there's really no sex in those anyway).

So, rather than stop reading said offensive book, he finished it to make sure that the whole final third was chock full of fruitcake?
Maybe he thought the talk about fairies in the summary referred to the kind with glittery wings?
Frankly, I like a little of that in my steamy stories. Being happily married, I won't ever get the chance to go that way, but I like to read about it.Sorry, my cow died so I don't need your bull
