I know there's been a few threads in here about them, but I swear, why do customers have to remember AFTER the transaction that they need a gift receipt, you know, when we can't actually do anything to help them save do an entire return?
Yesterday, a customer asked a CW if she could have a gift receipt, but after she had already finished processing her credit card. Now, since it was a credit card sale, we probably could've refunded her card, then charged her again, but that would've been a huge hassle, so my manager decided to compromise and offer a reprinted receipt instead, to which she grudgingly agreed to.
But I mean, really, if you need something like that, how hard is it to ask BEFORE the transaction? Oh, wait, I'm talking about SC, so of course it's the most difficult thing in the world to do.
I don't even get the concept of Gift Receipts. I mean, if they have to return it, they'll find out how much you spent, so why not just give them the original? Unless you have a ton of stuff on it, then I can kinda understand.
