Oooooh if I wasn't officially at work (Ie, on the clock) I think I would have slapped this old bitch.
Yesterday, debit across the state at Aid of Rite decides to take a nose dive for no real reason, leaving only credit as an option. That includes regular debit with cash back, EBT food, EBT balance inquiry and EBT cash, since the only way to use your EBT is to punch in a pin number. The only way to get cash back is to use the ATM. I warn people about this, they seem a bit upset for a second but when I tell them it's a statewide thing, they take it in stride.
Old Bitch (OB) has a cab waiting outside. Initially she goes to R, and R forgets to tell her that debit is down. OB is upset about this and she gets shuffled over to me, muttering about how much of a moron and jackass R is.
You do not insult my coworkers in front of me. Even though R drives me nuts sometimes with his utter lack of confidence in himself and refusal to make a mistake, he is not a moron. Infuriating, yes. Jackass, no.
THEN she gets bitchy about the air fresheners being BOGO. I walk off, muttering under my breath about how much of a bitchy attitude she has, see that my coworkers had put the sign in the wrong spot, go back and fix it.
To top it off she has the attitude to keep bitching to hurry up, she has a cab waiting outside, time is money, why am I wasting her time? I apologize for the debit thing, ma'am, and then she at last relaxes a bit and thanks me, sweetie.
Fun fact: When I start using "sir" or "ma'am" in my interactions with you, it is a sign that I am getting really, really angry at your attitude to me and it is a coverup to hide how angry I am.
So yes, had she continued I probably would have gone off.
