Just a bit of background: I'm a teenage waitress at a reasonably posh pub-restaurant, and I've had this job for the past 2 and a half years, just til I finish school. I'm a hard worker, but I try to stay relaxed and cheerful, and for the most part, stuff goes right, and my job is not bad.
I was working the lunchtime shift at work today, and despite everyone being tired, due to the massive rush of non-booked customers it was a pretty good shift, and we cleaned up quickly. So my supervisor decided to send me home half an hour early. I was on my way out, and it was pretty icy and cold, when I saw a tray of glasses outside. Now, being in a good mood, I decided to just grab them and put them inside so none of my co-workers would have to run outside and get them. The entrance is right by the bar area, and it was quite busy, and I almost ran into a guy, who was about five years older than me, not that old. Anyway, I tried to step out the way or round him, when he stepped the same way. After a weird bit of this, I realised he was doing it on purpose. Jerk much? Young woman, obviously on her way home after a busy shift, tray of glasses, and you're going to be a jerk?
The barmaid on duty looked over, but couldn't do anything, so I just gave him an icy stare and pushed past.
So, nice shift wrecked by jerk. I know it's not much, and not half as bad as some, but it really pissed me off.
