SC calls me up.

SC: "I need room XX."
Me: "Um, we don't have a room XX. Do you have the name of the guest?"
SC: "Bob."
Me: "That's a common name...do you have a last name?"
SC: "No."
SCW (in background): "It's room XXX." (The right room number.)
SC (to wife): "Shut up! I'm not talking to you!"
SC (to me): "He's in room XX."
Me: "I'm sorry, we don't have a room XX."
SCW (in background): "It's room XXX!"
SC (to wife): "I said shut...oh" (to me) "Room XXX."

It could be that they seem like a really shitty couple on the outside but on the inside they love each other, or have great sex, or whatever. You can't always judge a book by its cover.

That said, if I ever had a boyfriend who would talk to me like that, I would backhand him across the face. I couldn't stand being talked to like I was some sort of dog.
