Got a very weird SC today.
She called down wanting a key to her room. She didn't want to leave the room to pick up the key, though.
If you're not leaving your room, why do you really need a key for it? But, I digress.
It took about 30 minutes before anyone could leave the office, since housekeeping staff wasn't here yet. The phone was ringing off the hook all morning so CW couldn't go, and I was in the middle of a conference call. Never mind that about 30% of those calls were SC calling and asking where the key was because she needed it NOW! Lady, if you shut up and wait, you may find what you're looking for!
So my CW runs out, and I have to leave part of my conf call to man the desk because she's taking a bit longer than she should out there (not that I minded; it was an incredibly boring and pointless yet mandatory call). When she got back, she still had SC's key. Cue
look from me.
When CW knocked on the door, SC said she was having trouble opening it. CW then asked SC to go unlock the door to the adjoining room so CW could come in that way.
SC: "What for?"
CW: "So I can come in and see what's wrong with your lock."
SC: "No, that's fine. Don't worry about it."
So, though she claims she's having trouble with the front door, she doesn't want anyone to come it to fix it. She'd rather be locked in her room (though I strongly suspect that the lock is fine; she just didn't want to open the door). Needless to say, she didn't get her key she was so desperately nagging us for.
EDIT: Her daughter/neighbor/friend/whoever just came by to pick her up and SC wasn't answering the door. I went and opened it and SC was gone. SC had called her daughter/neighbor/friend/whoever, and when she was informed that D/N/F/W couldn't magically teleport immediately to the motel to pick her up instantly, she apparently became very irate because she needed a ride NOW! We think she ended up calling a cab and didn't bother to tell D/N/F/W.
