I'd just like it if my office actually would tow the jerks from the neighboring apartment complex from our lot. We're short on spaces as it is (especially in winter). We've got parking passes (vinyl window clings with unique numbers) and restricted parking signs, but they still park here.

Why? Because our spineless facilities manager doesn't ever bother to check if the cars in the lot are supposed to be there or not. Unless one of the employees complains, she doesn't care.

Of course, these are the same kids who run out in front of traffic, and can't understand why they get hit. Seems Pitt and CMU really do attract the bottom-of-the-barrel these days
I had that just this evening, I was driving from my aunt's to my grandparents on road where the posted speed limit is 70km per hour. Naturally this means 90 is the minimum anyone should drive. There are two lanes of traffic each way and the divider has flowers planted in it by the city (we prefer it to concrete barriers)

Any way, on the way I see three kids on the side of the road, one looks to be a teenager and the other two are 10 at most. Anyway, as I'm approaching the oldest looking one darts out in the middle of the road to go to the barrier and get some flowers (sadly this is a common thing). I nearly hit the idiot and what's worse there were impressionable kids with him who probably think he's cool for nearly ending up as the car's new paint colour rather than an idiot for it.

        Oh, no, I've got better.

I've watched parents jaywalk across busy streets with little kids, and they aren't even holding the kids' hands!

Sometimes I think the best way for them (or their next of kin) to learn is if they get hit by a car but you just know the insurance company and police will blame me for that.
