Worked last night, doing my usual thing of bagging wherever I was needed (even though I'm a cashier, and there is apparently a 'bagger' position that everyone else thinks I am...) I had just gotten on to a register to assist in bagging, when some woman comes screaming up to me, yelling about her coupons, and where are they?
The store manager just happened to be nearby, and he gets flagged down, and gets the whole story. She apparently had a strip of coupons off a cereal box which she must have left behind, having gone through the register I was bagging for before I got on, as she repeatedly mentioned how she had bagged her own stuff, and now, she didn't have her coupons, and couldn't buy her cereal. Why she didn't buy her cereal when she went through the line earlier, I dunno, but Store manager does everything short of accusing the cashier of having taken the coupons, and even tries to ask me if I knew anything about the coupons (Er, no? I wasn't here when it went down...)
Meanwhile, woman is standing just over my shoulder, yelling into my good ear, and how dare we not know where her coupons are, and why couldn't we cut the one she needed off the strip, and suddenly, "And now, someone has stolen my cart!"
Were you coming back into the store to shop more? Why didn't you take your purchase out to your car before coming back in to yell?
