Racism, Obama and the Back Room

I will try to describe the sheer asshattery an stupidly I was involved in.

I had gone into the back room, basically a hallway the runs the length of the store, several entrances and at each receiving and storage areas. Along the hall are the walk-in coolers and some offices. I was in the hallway portion getting some supplies and hear one of the doors from the sales floor open, followed a cooler. I get my stuff and proceed to walk out. As I approach the cooler, something seems off. I look in and see SC in the cooler looking around.

Me: What are You cant be back here!!?
SC: Looking for <product>.
Me: This is employees only, you can't be back her. Follow me.
SC: Huh?

I escort the SC to the sales floor.

SC: Why did you kick me out?
Me: You were in the back room, which is employees only. You can't be back their for safety reasons.
SC:*yelling* Well How the f**k and I supposed to know that.
Me: *really the doors, the employee only sign on said door, the fact the one has nice shiny floors, painted wall drop tile ceiling the other concrete floor plywood walls, pallets and carts with boxes of product, etc, etc)* It says right on the doors, EMPLOYEES ONLY.
SC: I work at <convince store chain>
Me: Ok. But you don't work her, you cant just go in out back rooms.
SC: Ok.

Just then the MOD goes to walk in the back

SC: Are yooooouuuuu a manager?
M: Yes.
SC: This *points to me* rude racist employee kicked me out of you store. I was in the back looking for <product> and I was kicked out.
M: You were in the back?
SC: Why is that a problem?
M: Yes. It it employee only for safety reason. If you need assistance you should have just one of the employees, *points to people stocking in the general area where product would be and who have been their for about 15 min*
SC: Well, Obama will send you racist self to hell. Are you fine with that.
M: That is un necessary.
SC: Raaaaaacist. You are soooooo racist. Obama would not approve.
M: Anything else I can help you with?
SC: NO. RACIST!

The SC then throws a wet floor sign. It hit a end cap about 5 feet away and knocked soem boxes off.

M: Ok. You will have to leave. That is unacceptable.
SC: No.
M: Do I have to call the Police and have you removed?
SC: I'll leve so the RACCCISTS dont bet me up when you racist self call them.
M: Leave.
SC: I'll call the cops and have them arrest you for Racism.
M: Now.
SC: Fine, but Obama will send you to hell. That HELLLLL!
M: Fine.

The SC is escorted out by the manager.

About 6 months ago I had a so-called-customer totally flip out over an automotive item (his wife escorted him out of the store before management could find him). He was not rational and I'm sure he was not mentally able to hold a job.

Its the same with your backroom guy...he is irrational.

What is sad is that I'm seeing more of crazy people in our store and calling on the telephone.

If a telephone customer won't accept a (tactfully said) no to his question, then he doesn't believe it... I'm done. I will refer him to a manger at once.

I... uh... do not believe it works the way you think it works...
You can't be arrested for Racism... to the best of my knowledge, unless it's an ongoing thing, and you have a record, but then, I think it becomes more a federal thing, not something the local constabulary will arrest you for.

What is really sad is that there are some people who are so afraid of being called a racist or having the word used about them in a public place that they will bend over into any position to avoid it.

True, this SC probably lacked the mental capabilities to manipulate the situation like that, but I know some very educated people who play that race card any chance they get in order to beat down any opposition to whatever they want to get away with doing.

I... uh... do not believe it works the way you think it works...
You can't be arrested for Racism... to the best of my knowledge, unless it's an ongoing thing, and you have a record, but then, I think it becomes more a federal thing, not something the local constabulary will arrest you for.

You get arrested for discriminating against a protected class, but 'non-employees of the store' aren't part of that bill.

Also, since when can Obama send people to Hell? I thought it was Bush who talked directly to God.

The story is about a customer who is a little bit nutty. The SC happened to be fixated on Obama and racism, but really, a whackjob like that could have been yammering on about anything.
