  • Customer wanted to attend reserved event

Visitor Parking is reserved for an event today. The full sign is on, & the big white sign stating Visitor Parking is closed for an event is near the entrance gate to Visitor parking. The parking office wants me to put that sign there.

Female customer drove up to the booth window. I open it to assist her.

female customer: "Is this Visitor parking?"
me: "Yes it is, but it is closed for an event. What is the name of the event you are here for?"
female customer: "I am not here for an event. I just want to go to the registrars office."
me: "I know you want to go to that office, but the garage is closed for an event. The big white sign states the garage is closed for an event & the full sign is on because the garage is closed for an event. I am sorry, but I have no available spots for anyone. I am sorry, but I am not allowed to raise the entrance gate."
female customer: "So where do I park at?"

I give her several options, & I tell her there are many other parking lots available.

female customer: *looks at the big white sign*: "So it's closed for an event."
    me: "Correct"
female customer: "So what is the name of the event?"
me: "What is the name of the event you are here for today?"
female customer: *irritated at this point*: "No, I want you to tell me the name of the event so I can park in the garage & attend it. It is so hard to find a parking spot around here."
me: "I am afraid I am not allowed to give out that information to anyone."

She realizes she cannot park, & she leaves.

    This was her master plan:

You: What event are you here for?
Her: Why, what event is going on?
You: It's the annual Festival of Awesome
Her: Yeah, that's what I'm here for. The Festival of Awesome.
You: Okay, you can park here
Her: Heh heh heh... I am so sly
    You: What was that?
    Her: I said that's a lovely shirt you're wearing.
Each one of us has a special place just like the Evergreen Forest. Enchanting, sparkling, and perfect. And, like the flowers that bloom there... fragile.
