  • A note to the Tournament Customers

In *my city* right now, we finished week number two of the yearly State Tournaments that bring lots of folks into town (yea!) but unfortunately, that brings our number of SC's up as well...

    To My Tournament Customers...

I know you only get to the big city every once in awhile, but escalators have been basic equipment in most two level stores for many, many years. Please don't play on them by running up the down or vice versa. Please don't flip the emergency stop button just to hear the sound it makes, as it also STOPS said escalator. Requiring us to manually start it again. If the escalator is stopped and a manager tells you to please avoid it until we start it up again, do not charge by said manager and walk down or up the escalator anyway - we have stairs right next to the escalators to accomodate you.

If you keep your home like you treat our store, no wonder there are a half dozen 'clutter' and 'hoarding' shows on TV these days. You really find it that hard to rehang that jacket you tried on that it was easier to throw it on the floor or over another completely different rack? That's a $200 coat. It's not yours until you buy it. Please don't treat my merchandise like you obviously treat all the other crap in your life. Once you buy it, I don't give a flying fig what you do with it. But until then, please be conscientious and treat it with a basic level of common courtesy.

It is March folks and even though our winter has been long and hard, don't come in expecting a complete, full collection of winter goods. We have to be out of them by April 1st. Don't whine that we don't have any selection, that you like that jacket we have on awesome sale, but you really would prefer another color - those sold out early in the season. Don't ask me to order in any old winter goods now. A winter coat ordered in nearly mid-march would arrive (if it existed at all) in April. Which is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

Yes, I'm pregnant and obviously showing. You'll have that at 7 plus months. Please don't expect me to give you sympathy when your child is misbehaving and you aren't parenting them. If I had a dollar for every slackluster parent hooking a thumb at their snotty, screaming, misbehaving child they were doing nothing with and saying 'Bet you can't wait, huh?', I could stay at home once my little guy arrives... but the point is, you deal with your kids, I'll deal with mine once he arrives. Don't ask me personal questions about my plans for child birth, day care, etc. I don't know you from adam... you could be some freakjob baby napper for all I know. Come in, buy crap from me and leave...thankyouverymuch...

Hmm, sounds like you might be from the same state as me, or your state has bball tourneys at the same time. Ah, high school kids (and their parents and their friends) are soooo much fun. From a distance. Outside my store. Outside my parking lot. Driving away.
