Oh, I've seen some really good and interesting porn scripts, unfortunately, the only acting these girls are good at are oooing, ahhing and fake orgasms.

We need porn with better actors......but then, maybe its hard to act when you're bent over a tennis net.

You mean, porn is actually written? By paid writers? Beyond, "Okay, you're the electrician, and you're the lonely housewife, and just take it from there..."?
The purely written stuff can be particularly interesting since you don't have to obey the laws of reality, and you aren't limited to what you can actually film.

The most regular work is for the "letters to the mag" style pieces. Short, fantasy wish-fulfillment pieces that get printed up every single month.

The boyfriend's commissioned piece was for a porn actress who runs a site for a particular fetish (she seems to really enjoy it, too, which makes a huge difference).

Andara, how do you break into this kind of work, and is there a "Writers' Market" sort of we-buy-this listing anywhere?

Well, the letter column stuff is a bit hard to break into. I haven't taken the effort to do it, myself, as I'm lazy.

Other stuff, well, it can come from anywhere. The fetish one the boyfriend did was commissioned based on his participating in free-style writing on a completely different site that happened to support the same fetish.

I was doing a piece that was to be paid for that same other fetish site, but got sidetracked and never actually got it past halfway through the first draft.

... and a lot of .. um... character development... and brainstorming... with the boyfriend ...

              The Internet is for PORN!

I fully agree that when the actresses are actually enjoying themselves, it makes a *huge* difference. I simply can't watch most mainstream material because it's so completely fake. But there are one or two sites out there which make a point of it - and usually they don't have a script.

gotta love how easy it is to steal work when it is connected to the computer.
I've found a couple of my Photobucket pics elsewhere...no personal identifying stuff, just a few shots taken at the aquarium. Same objects, same positioning/angle (neat trick if it isn't my photo seeing that the jellyfish were constantly moving), one even had the same metadata. I called one person on it, and was answered with "how do you know it's yours?"....er, not only does the metadata have identifying info (not my real name) that you aren't smart enough to change, but you're linking right to my album.

The only thing I could do was change the pic...not as fun as it could have been seeing as the PB TOS doesn't let you upload anything even slightly "odd" (I had a Calvin and Hobbes avatar from the strip where he lets his brain out to play and it was taken down for a violation), so all I was able to do was replace it with "this person is a thief". A lot of sellers on ebay host their own photos, so I've seen some creative revenge.

My mother and aunt have been selling original designs of beadwork earrings for decades. It's amazing how brazen people will be when they walk up and try to sketch the design of the item so that they can make their own copy. >.<
I don't really have "standard" designs (except for a few pieces that would otherwise be difficult); I make everything on the fly. It's not uncommon for a necklace to evolve a few times before I decide to finish it. In the pieces that I do decide to make standard, I make sure to somehow include one component that's unique. Wanna copy my bear-claw necklace? Good luck, that's a real one; I can guarantee the claw alone will cost you much more than my asking price for the finished piece (I somehow got really lucky and bought it for a steal a number of years ago).

My favorite story of cheap-ass people not willing to pay the professional for the job they want again involves my mother and aunt and their beadwork.

They're professionals, and they're very good. Hell, I'm very good (been beading since I was 7 or so) and they blow me out of the water.

Anyway, they'd been commissioned to do a full set of dance regalia for one of the guys at one of the powwows they attended. So my aunt got started on it and finished about half of the pieces for the set. At which point the guy's douche of a mother came by to try to buy beads from my aunt so that she could make the rest of the matching regalia! >.<

Unfortunately, I don't know how that ended, though I do know that the guy's mom wasn't much of a beader or he'd have had her do it in the first place.

I'm curious: is there an english version of the famous German porn clip, "Do you know why there's straw on the ground?"?
                      Sure! The script

Girl: Oh god yes. Oh god. Oh god. YES YES YES!

                      MAN: Grunt grun-

Director: CUT! Only one grunt! Start from the begining.

Girl: Oh god yes. Oh god. OH GOOOOOOOOOD!

Director: CUT! Your not suppose to orgasm yet!

                      Girl: Bet me....

What odds do you wanna give me that these are the same people who try to sell an idea to an established writer for 50% of the proceeds, after all coming up with the idea is the hard part.
