We've run out of the little cards to hold the gift cards. People are not pleased. It's probably also "UNacceptable!".

heh. I just hand them to the customers and then hand them the itty bitty bag.

Which I now have plenty of.

And tomorow is christmas eve! Well, today.

Big Bags For Little Objects

Whew! Luckily, at my store, we've been ok with bags this year, but last year, it was absolutely ridiculous. We have small, paper bags (like lunch bags), medium-sized opaque, plastic bags (slightly smaller than plastic grocery bags), and the HUGE paper bags that are roughly the same size as large Nordstrom bags or something. Well, last year, we'd tell people that we were short on bags and would try to optimize bag space by fitting as much as we could into the most appropriate bags. We had the least of the medium-sized bags, so if we could fit the customer's item(s) into a small paper bag, we would. Well, for some reason, I remember one day where every picky-ass person who bought one small item seemed to be asking for a larger bag. One whiny lady had a lip liner pencil. That was it. When she asked for a larger bag, I didn't even show her what we had. I took the lip liner out of the little paper bag, dropped it into a gigantic paper bag, and smiled. "Have a nice day!" She looked like she felt really stupid.
