Yesterday, this dimwit got into an argument with Alice (ASM) about returning an allegedly defective GPS car navigation unit.
Problem #1: He was WAY outside the 14 day limit for electronics returns
Problem #2: No box, no manuals, no software CDs. Just the unit itself.
Problem #3: We didn't have any of that model in stock. So even if it was complete and the 14 days had been observed, he still would not have been able to get a new one.
Needless to say, this guy simply did not get it, and had to argue for severalminutes with Alice about the return. YES, you have to bring the WHOLE package back! NO, we can't magically produce an item for you and NO we won't have one shipped from another store for this. YES, there IS a 14 day policy.
Thankfuly, this did not happen at my register. I only had to deal with the extra people who couldn't go to the Service Desk because this guy had it all tied up.
And yes, he left with the same GPS he walked in with
