On Sunday, a customer came up to the service desk with some grapes and told me they weren't the right price. It turned out that he bought crimson grapes which were with the sign for red grapes. When I gave it to him for the sign price, he insisted that he should get the grapes for free. I told him that if it was a human error it didn't apply but it did if it was a computer error. The customer told me that all errors are human errors and that computers don't make errors. Since I was trained to give the customer what they want if they get insistant, he got the grapes for free.
I explained the situation to my service desk coworker when she got back from break. She was pretty understanding and told me not to worry about it.
