Sarlon I wouldn't worry. You have a legitimate case as your mum was struggling. Places like that really ned to have better cutlery.

in CRML's case, he was an EW.

What a great waitress. You should compliment her to her manager.

Sarlon, no. You guys have a legitimate need. I doubt your mom was in there making a scene and being snobby.

People in the hospital try that sometimes. They get admitted and all of a sudden their hands dont work. My line: "While youre here you really need to do everything for yourself that you can. Its how we can tell how close you are to discharge" or something. I refuse and if they complain...no one cares b/c theyre just being lazy. Now, if someone has a need, someone cuts up the food and even feeds them if they need to. But no one should be abused that way. Its ridiculous.

It would have been funny to cut up his food infront of him, put it on a fork and yell "Here comes the airplane!!!" And make the noises. LOL

If you could get away with it, I'd say charge a service fee if that's tried again. What a maroon.

Wow, that's a whole new level of entitlement right there. What an asswipe!

I wouldn't dream of asking a waiter to cut my meat. Well into adulthood, I still had my parents do it for me, because I'm such a klutz, I always ended up shooting something off my plate. Oh, how they teased me about that! I do it myself now, and I've gotten better at it, but I still have to be careful.

I have to agree with others on here, why does a grown man need someone to cut his meat for him? My 11 year old can and does cut his own meat, so if he can do so can the asshat who demanded the meat be cut for him.

If someone has trouble with it, that is different, but this man was capable of doing it himself, just because he thought being a moron is a disability does not make it so.

He does need the stupid slapped out of him, but that would would take a whole month of non stop slapping.

                        Truely, he is a moron.

Only time I ever needed help to cut something was when I had a broken wrist and physically couldnt.

My mom has trouble with cutting things up when we go out to eat. The place we normally go to has AWSOME waitress that one day saw me struggling to cut up mom's calzone because of the flimsy knife and fork and came up to our table and asked if she could take it into the back and cut it up for her.

The next few times we came back and got her she always remebers our order, our drinks, and even remembers to cut up mom's half.

Are we sucky for asking for it to be cut up even though I'm capable of cutting it for her?
Really ? No where did I see anything in the OP's post that said folks who have physical problems are sucky because they need help cutting their food. And, in your situation, the waitress was kind enough to see a need and offer to help. There's a big difference between those who need help and those who feel they are entitled to everything.

                              I like this!

I can't believe that guy. Unless he's from a culture that doesn't cut their own meat (I can't think of any), or has a broken arm or severe arthritis or some other disability that would limit his meat-cutting ability, he can cut his own damned meat! Everyone else does!

A lot of Asian cultures cut the meat before cooking or before serving. When was the last time you needed cutlery to eat Indian food? And a lot of Chinese dishes it's already cut. I've heard a story (no clue if it's true) that Mao was in the states, and served a very nice steak. He was taken aback by the fact that they clearly hadn't finished preparing the food before they served it to him - it was still in a large chunk.
