Customer had apparently phoned up and spoken to one of my colleagues earlier in the day, his problem was sorted out, he had no complaint with the service he received or the earlier phone call.
His problem was this.I could not figure out why it was so important to him.
Customer "yeah I phoned you earlier from my mobile/cell phone and now when I look at the list of calls I made, your number doesn't come up, it just says I made a call lasting 22 minutes to an unknown number.Why is that?"
me "I don't know but it could be that there are various extensions in this office patched into each other and perhaps the original extension doesnt show as a distinct number" (guessing)
customer "I demand to know why you're hiding your number"
and on and on untill I call a supervisor.
