The irony on this one is... well... umm... I'm lacking my thesaurus to look up an adequate word.
So, this was over two calls. First call was to a government agency. Note it is illegal to have a policy that you do not accept relay calls (there are ways around it... you can make rules that make it practically impossible for someone to call on relay, like all calls must take less than say, 5 minutes). Want to guess who wasn't following that law?
Yup, the government wasn't following it's own law.
It gets better.
The caller asked me to then dial the FCC complaint line.
Want to guess what the person at the FCC said?
Yup, the FCC rep gave me a rather rude "lecture" about how neither I nor the deaf user could possibly know the laws regarding relay.
So to surmise, we have gone from one government employee who doesn't know the law hanging up on us to one who should know the law hanging up on us... what the hell...
And of course both of them were rude pricks about it.
Is there some rule that government employees have to be dicks? <- Rhetorical question
