    Like Being Only A Little Bit Pregnant

    customer "and of course I have no tv and I haven't had any for days and days and i'm all alone in the world and i need some compensation right now, I have nobody to talk to and my only company is the tv"

    me *hears tones of tv announcer in background "and next on BBC1, a programme about......* "isn't that the tv in the background I can hear?there was an announcement of the next programme on BBC1"

    customer "it was only on a little bit.........."

    customer holding onto receiver but still audible to someone in the background "turn the fucking tv off!"

    me "I don't think I will be able to authorise you any compensation payment right now........"
    Customer "why did you answer the phone if you can't help me?"

    Well honestly it depends, I only watch FX, USA, Comedy Central

    When 2 out of 3 are down for a mysteries reason, I don't have cable, especially if my cable modem also isn't working, I don't care if I have 96 other channels coming in. when 3 out of 4 of my uses for cable aren't working I effectively don't have cable.
    I'm sorry reading is not a new concept it has been widely taught in our nation for at least the past 100 years. Please, learn to do it CORRECTLY before you become contagious.

      Just because you don't use the other 95% of the offerings doesn't magically make them not exist.

              Bull. If several channels are out then I'm not being provided the service I'm paying for, regardless of how many pointless package-padding channels are still up.

              That said, if I were calling to complain about specific channels being out, I would complain about specific channels being out, not make up some story about the TV being my fallen comrade.

                and if your cable is set up in a way that still allows for other cannels then your way pagan = cable is never out which isnt true
