You asked me why the item (oddly expensive for that item, but whatever...) rang up for more than the shelf tag? I need only glance over your shoulder at the screen, and take in three details in rapid succession:
1) The item DOES have a discount attached to it, if you input your card number.
2) You DID put in your card number, AFTER you scanned the item, so, the system didn't know to put the discount on the screen.
3) You NEED to hit the big green pay now button, and the system WILL post all your discounts.
So, when I tell you, "Hit 'pay now', it'll bring up all the sales," DO NOT immediately reply, "Yes, but it didn't ring up the right price and I'm an impatient asshole who is basically telling you to your face that I don't like your answer, you son of a!" Particularly because I will immediately repeat myself. And when you once again imply I'm lying to you, I will then grab your hand and turn you toward the screen so you can SEE what happens when I press the 'pay now' button for you, you stupid, stupid child.
