Pretty common phrase by EWs. Had one couple tonight that was ranting and raving about how it wasn't fair we were making them move their motorcycle (that was parked on the sidewalk right by the hotel entrance) just because of a wedding party. I mean how dare we take the side of the wedding party over her and her husband who, along with their 50 friends, spend more money at our hotels than any wedding ever and they've lived in our hotels for years and blah blah blah. She went on for several minutes complaining about the injustice. It helped that she had been drinking heavily for a couple hours before this happened.
What actually happened: The Asst. General Manager asked them to move their bike about 30 feet under the front awning and off the side walk because he was worried with 3 drunken weddings going on someone might mess with the bike since it was parked right by the smoking area. Of course what she heard was we were on the side of the wedding people.
Oh yea, and she also said we don't need to worry someone damaging her bike, they'd worry about it. Yea, sure, until it gets damaged sitting out front of our property, then it'll be all about how we owe them money. Ugh. We finally told her it was a fire lane violation and that shut her up.
